Health of Prince Henrik “Greatly Worsened”
An announcement from the Danish Royal Court this morning has said that Prince Henrik’s health is “greatly worsened”.
The Prince, who is 83, has been at Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet since January 28th, when he returned to Denmark from Egypt for medical treatment. On February 2nd, the Court announced that a benign tumour had been found in the Prince’s lung, and he was being treated for a lung infection.
Crown Prince Frederik is returning from South Korea, where he was due to attend the Winter Olympic Games beginning today.
Prince Henrik’s brother, Étienne de Monpezat, has given a comment to BT – “No, I’m not on my way to Denmark, because I’m waiting for the latest news. I know my brother is not well. It seems to be a matter of weeks.”
